About Sancha

I am a tourism entrepreneur and have been continually working in the tourism sector since 2006. Starting as a porter, I have worked my way up to being a senior mountain guide and Team Leader at Adventure Victory Company. Working in this field has given me knowledge, skills, and a deep sense of fulfillment. Nepal is a country with great tourism potential, it is a pleasure for me to work in this sector. The tourism industry has brought immense joy and happiness to my life, and I have even achieved world-renowned multi-world records, including a Guinness world record, through my work. I am committed to continuing in this sector and working even more.

Current President Of World Record Holder Society

I am the current President of the World Records Holders Society. This organization was established in 2021 in Kathmandu, Nepal. Only Guinness World Record holders can become members of this organization. We aim to recognize those who achieve the impossible and bring together individuals with unique abilities. We believe in living for our community and nation, and as the world record is an international platform, our focus is on working for the world. The organization has been doing its work according to its objectives, and we have many plans to collaborate with various organizations, both within and outside the country. Our organization has received significant responsibilities from the government, including working as an observer in the federal and state elections of Nepal, as well as contributing to tourism efforts. In 2022, a successful scientific debate about global climate change was held at the base camp of Mount Everest, involving two US universities. This debate, which took place at the world’s highest location, aimed to send a message about climate change to the world community. We are committed to continuing our work and undertaking many more projects in the future.

I Started My Tourism Since 2006

I was born into a very poor family, and since childhood, I knew my parents couldn’t afford my expenses. I grew up in the Himalayan district of the Everest region, where I was introduced to tourism at a young age because some elders in the village worked in that industry. I aspired to make money by working in tourism, although I didn’t fully understand the challenges involved. When I was 14 years old in 2006, I went to Lukla, the gateway to Mount Everest, during the festival holidays to work as a porter. I faced difficulties finding work, as no one was willing to hire me due to my young age and the risks involved in the job. It was only on the fourth day that I met Chris Lohss from America and his friends. With the help of my friend’s relative, I asked Chris’s guide, Bharat Karki, to let me work as a porter for them, and fortunately, he accepted. That opportunity marked the beginning of my trekking experience. Since then, Chris has been an integral part of my journey in the tourism industry, providing unwavering support. I am sincerely grateful to him for his help and guidance.
