Seminar on Climate Change at the World’s Highest Place

For the first time, an international conference on climate change has been held at Everest Base Camp. The seminar was organized by the World Record Holder Society, an association of artists whose names have been inscribed in the Guinness Book of World Records from Nepal.

Before leaving the venue, the Honorable Vice President of Nepal wished for the complete success of the event and also handed over the Nepali National Flag. During the meeting with the Honorable Vice President, the program coordinator and singer Purna Rai informed him about the purpose of the program. In this context, the Honorable Vice President thanked the society for organizing such a very important event and which even the Government of Nepal has not been able to do so far. He also thanked the professor, senior environment scientist Dr. JoannaLambert and Joel berger.

The program, titled World's Highest Climate Summit – 2022, was chaired by Sancha Bahadur Rai and conducted by program coordinator singer Purna Rai. At the event, American scientists argued that climate change needs to be taken seriously in order to protect not only human beings but also nature. Although the program was a big challenge in itself, the program continued for three consecutive hours.

Presentation and panel discussion program was conducted by Sharan Shrestha. Organized on May 29, Everest Day, the event is in itself a historical, adventurous and world-wide massage, according to the organizers.
